Madison County

The Madison County Community Fund is a permanent charitable resource that supports local causes and organizations.

A local advisory board puts donations of all sizes to good use by making grants to meet the needs and vision of the community. They partner with individuals, businesses and nonprofits to make Madison County a better place to live, learn, work and play.

In the past, we have contributed to, and collaborated with, the following projects:

  • Granted $5,000 to Richmond Food Pantry
  • Granted $5,000 to Berea Food Pantry
  • Back to School Bash
  • Berea Home Village
  • Granted $8,000 to the mural on the new Enrich building
  • Richmond Teen Center’s Backpack Program
  • Too Good for Drugs Program
  • Annual support of local organizations participating in Bluegrass Gives

Start where you are. Use what you have. Give what you can.

We encourage you to donate now and make a gift that supports Madison County in perpetuity. We accept a wide range of assets, providing you the ultimate flexibility in charitable giving.

Your donation may be eligible for a tax credit! Learn more about the Endow Kentucky Tax Credit.

Why I give to my Community Fund

“We love Richmond and Madison County and want to give back to our community. Our fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation makes giving to the Madison County Community Fund and other local charities easy and rewarding. Through our legacy fund, the organizations we love will have additional income for future years, and we are confident this will help our community be a better place to live and learn.”

Jim and Jan Barnes

“I support the Madison County Community Endowment Fund. This is a very easy way of giving back to the current and future  community charities that make Madison County a good place to live, work and raise a family.”
