Nominations Open for 2025 for Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative Grassroots Black Leadership Awards

The Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative (LBPI), a community-advised committee of Blue Grass Community Foundation, is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Grassroots Black Leadership Awards. These awards honor dedicated Black community members in Lexington who are passionate about driving meaningful change at the grassroots level. Nominations close on Feb. 3, 2025, at midnight.

Established in 2021, the Grassroots Black Leadership Awards celebrate and invest in Black Lexingtonians working tirelessly to address racial equity, eliminate disparities and advance social justice. Honorees receive a $5,000 unrestricted stipend as recognition for their invaluable contributions to creating a more equitable and prosperous community.

“The Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative invites nominations for individuals who dedicate their time, creativity, expertise, and often their personal resources, to strengthening Black communities in Lexington,” said Dr. Tiffany Daniels, D.C., co-chair of the LBPI Advisory Board.
